Services I Offer

Relatable, Modern, Holistic Therapy

Perhaps you're down or anxious - maybe you're unsure about the future of a relationship, or just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to lead. Whatever your needs may be, I am here to offer support. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery, and in my sessions I want to support your process by encouraging greater self awareness and the adoption of new perspectives and tools. I have the techniques and professional experience to help you create the change that is most meaningful to you.

I am currently providing teletherapy services to adults. I have experience treating a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, burnout, mood or emotional problems, trauma, substance abuse, grief and loss and existential crisis. I offer professional therapy that is relatable, modern and holistic. I want my sessions to feel like a conversation and to create a collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to create meaningful change. In my role, I will listen actively and without judgement, validate, empathize and provide education and practical skills as needed.

I utilize evidence-based practices to personalize care to meet individual needs. While I primarily draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness. I also incorporate Somatic Therapy, Integrative Mental Health Practices, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I like to provide additional resources for clients to engage with outside of the therapy session as well. Whether its books, articles, podcasts, or handouts, I want to encourage continued learning and growth.

My areas of specialty are women-focused therapy, brain-gut health and life transitions and millennial therapy.

I welcome and affirm members of the LGBTQI community, as well as any other groups who struggle for support, acceptance, and recognition.

Women-Focused Therapy

Many mental health concerns affect all genders. The focus of women's treatment is the way in which women may experience these concerns differently. Women may experience certain biological, environmental, and psychosocial challenges related to gender, and these concerns can have a significant impact on mental health and well-being. My hope is to help women explore these issues and help them build the mental strength they need to thrive and create the lives they want.

Integrative Medicine

Brain-Gut Health

The gut, commonly known as the “second brain,” is connected to nearly every organ and system in the body. Emerging research on the relationship between the brain, behavior and the digestive system indicates the gut might play a critical role in our mental health. Brain-gut psychotherapies are grounded in Integrative Medicine and Somatic Therapy, which is an evidence-based therapy approach in mental health.
Within Somatic Therapy, we prioritize relaxation strategies to directly target the arousal of the autonomic nervous system. Using Integrative Medicine practices, I want to help clients explore how their gut health and mental health are connected and learn behavioral and nutritional strategies to better manage their physical and psychological symptoms.

Life Transitions

What chapter of your life are you in? Change is a part of life that will always remain constant and unavoidable. Transitions are a time of vulnerability and possibility and it's common to feel distress and difficult emotions. Whether it's rites of passage, entering/exiting education, career changes, loss of a loved one, changes to relationship or family dynamics, moving, or a health problem, therapy can provide the skills to help you navigate it gracefully. If you are currently struggling to cope with life transitions and would like some guidance, let me join you in your effort to learn and grow and provide the skills you need to cope with change. What will you write in your next chapter?

Millennial Therapy

According to the American Psychological Association, millennials experience more stress than previous generations and have a harder time managing their mental health. Change is hard for almost everyone. And while the major life transition into adulthood comes with an abundance of new opportunities, it also comes with new responsibilities, challenges and expectations. I work with professional millennials because I’m a millennial and I’ve felt the pressure of a highly demanding job.  The struggles that millennials face are different from the struggles of our parents and grandparents.  I’m a millennial and a therapist, which means I’m here with you every step of the way as you journey to overcome your own anxiety and stress.
